Are you outraged that your free e-mail account gets Spam? By Doug Chick Do companies that offer free e-mail accounts do so just to sell your name to Spammers? They must, what other incentive is there to offer a free e-mail account. I receive as much as 200 Spam, or junk mail a day in my hotmail account. Right now I have so much that I cant take the time to delete it all because I have to select it one mail at a time. I mean I understand that the Internet is not funded on good intentions like so many of my Linux friends think it is. I do question just how effective it is sending me 200 advertisings a day if I delete them immediately without even looking at them. I know, some of you are saying, Wait a minute you idiot! I found your sight because you spammed me. My response to that is; no I didnt. One of your friends submitted your name to my site. And I dont want to talk about it anymore.

The sad truth is; America is the most productive country in the world as a result of capitalism. Without proper motivation, progress creeps along at a very slow pace. Capitalism is just that, motivation to exceed. Where there is an opportunity to make money, people will invest their capital in it. For the Internet evolve it will require capital investments. This is why you can access the Internet with unlimited access for little if any expense. Advertisements and Spam fuels our free ride on the Internet. And if you dont like it, you can go back to dialing up to BBS boards on your 14.4 modem and look pictures made up of keyboard characters. I actually started this article to complain about too much Spam and Advertisements, but then I remembered what the net was like before outside sources began pumping money into it. Perhaps there are a lot of you too young to remember. So, are you outraged that your free e-mail account gets Spam?
