What To Do With Computer Part Magazines
Douglas Chick

Computer part magazines are small sales magazines that advertise the latest computer supplies. These magazines are only sent exclusively to everyone! If you've ever even glanced in the general direction of a computer-five magazines are immediately launched to your mailing address. This techno litter can propagate faster than rabbits. One or two computer part magazines can quickly and easily mound into hundreds, even thousands. It only takes one purchase from an online supplier of computer goods, to get your name on a list that can never be removed. I'm still receiving computer part magazines from people that haven't worked at my company in 10 years. The "Do-not-call list" does nothing when it comes to computer vendors.

While ordering product from CDW one time, the sales person asked;

     "Do you have one of our magazines?"

     "Yes, do you need some back?" I answered

     "No, I need the number on the back." he giggled.

I'm not singling out CDW; it is all of them. This is how they make their money. Computer people love to look though the latest computer supply magazine, myself included. The problem is; what to do with them?
