Thanks for the Super
Bowl Mammory
Editorial
Douglas Chick
If
there are slightly more woman on this planet than there are men, that would
mean that there are more breast than people, so why would seeing just one
mean so much? What I am
referring to is Janet Jackson baring her right breast at the Super Bowl half
time event. Are breast so grotesque that they should be shunned from the
public? If so, perhaps bras should have a second protective layer made from
the same canvas that the Elephant Man used to hide his deformity. I just
don’t understand it. Who exactly were all these people that were offended?
And why weren’t these same people offended from the Super Bowl commercial
when a horse broke wind on a candle?
Maybe it’s a matter of trust. Maybe
no one wanted to see another Jackson make a boob of themselves on
television. (Hey, I can do these types of jokes all day long) There’s also
a possibility that the sibling rivalry between Michael and Janet didn’t
stop with how many plastic surgeries they’ve received. Maybe…just maybe,
they thought it would be better to apologize for exposing a middle-aged
woman’s breast than the crappy song their were singing?
So you can see, when so much nudity on television and
the movie theater, how did one single barely visible breast get so much
attention?
